Pat Summitt Foundation takes pre-orders for specialty license plate

(WKRN) – The Pat Summitt Foundation is now accepting pre-orders for a specialty license plate that honors the late U.T. coach and supports the fight against Alzheimer’s. The plate, which costs $35, plus county clerk’s office costs, features a photograph of Pat Summitt and the Pat Summitt Foundation logo. A minimum of 1,000 license plates must be pre-ordered by June 30, 2017 for the them to be available to motorists. More than $15 from each plate sold will benefit the Pat Summitt Foundation. To preorder, or to read more about the specialty plate, visit PatSummitt.org. Summitt passed away in June at the age of 64 after battling dementia, Alzheimer’s type. She announced in 2011 that she was battling the disease. Shortly after her diagnosis she formed the Pat Summitt Foundation Fund to help fight the disease.
